Starter journeys

Building a journey from a blank canvas is powerful but not always where you want to start. Starter journeys, from the Journeys list page, install a complete, working automation — trigger, steps, and every email project it sends — in one click, pre-wired to a contacts list you pick.

The five starters

  • Welcome series — sends an intro email, waits, sends a poll about the new subscriber's interests, then branches to one of two follow-ups based on their answer.
  • Abandoned cart — fires off a checkout-abandoned or, on a connected Shopify/WooCommerce store, a real cart-abandoned event, and exits early if the contact already paid before the reminder would go out.
  • Post-purchase — installs two linked journeys: one waits a few days after a purchase and asks for a star rating; the other watches for a low rating and opens a support ticket automatically, so an unhappy buyer doesn't just fall through the cracks.
  • Re-engagement — creates a saved segment for contacts who haven't opened anything in 90 days, then sends them a scratch-off-reveal email once they enter it.
  • Event lifecycle — branches an RSVP response into confirmed, waitlisted or declined, sends the right initial email for each, then follows up with a reminder (and an add-to-calendar invite) a few days before the event.

After installing

Every starter installs paused, with its own real, editable email projects and journey graph — nothing about it is a special read-only template. Rename the projects, restyle them to your brand, rewire the graph, and turn the journey on when you're ready. Installing checks your plan's journey limit up front (post-purchase needs two journeys at once, since it's two linked graphs), so it fails cleanly before creating anything if you're already at your cap.
