A new client's first real interaction with a law, accounting, or consulting firm is usually a stack of intake paperwork, and a link to an unfamiliar client portal is exactly the kind of thing that gets set aside. A multi-page Form turns into a clean "Start intake" link-first flow that carries answers across pages automatically — no portal account needed to begin.
The fix isn't a shorter form — a real intake usually does need several fields. The fix is not making a portal login the first thing standing between the client and starting.
One link, several pages, no portal
Assign each Form field a page number and turn on the block's multi-page setting, and it renders as a single "Start intake" button instead of one long inline form. The link opens a clean step-by-step wizard on the hosted live view — with Back navigation, carrying answers forward page to page — using the same recipient token as any other MailInApp link, so there's nothing to sign up for just to begin.
What it doesn't cover
File upload is deliberately not one of the Form block's question types — collect any actual documents through whatever secure channel your firm already uses, and keep the Form itself to text, choice, and scale questions.
Review, then follow up
Every submission lands on the Responses dashboard, with per-question rollups for choice and scale questions and a readable sample of free-text answers, exportable as CSV. Once you've reviewed it, a Meeting-link block in a follow-up email sends the details for the actual kickoff call.
One form per engagement type
Different engagement types usually need different questions — build a separate project and Form per type, and send each to the right segment of your contact list.
Getting started
Build a Form with fields spread across a few pages, turn on multi-page mode, and send it as part of the new-client welcome email. Review answers on the Responses dashboard, then follow up with a Meeting-link once you're ready to schedule the kickoff call.
