Delete your MailInApp data
This page explains how to delete some or all of your data in the MailInApp app (Android and iOS) and at mailinapp.com, operated by Digitload, while keeping your account. To delete your account and everything in it instead, see Delete your MailInApp account.
How to delete your data
If you receive emails in the app
- Open the MailInApp app and sign in.
- Open the menu, tap Settings, then Notification settings.
- Tap Delete my data and confirm.
This deletes the devices registered for notifications, the senders you muted, and your list of emails received in the app. It happens immediately.
If you send emails with MailInApp
In the app or at mailinapp.com, open the item and choose Delete (or Remove / Disconnect), then confirm. You can delete:
- Individual contacts, or a whole contact list or data source with all its rows
- Email projects, templates, and uploaded images and media
- Recurring sends, webinars and live sessions
- Connected email accounts (disconnecting deletes the stored credentials and synced message details)
- Sending domains, webhooks, and two-factor authenticators
Each item is deleted as soon as you confirm.
If you can't do it in the app
Email [email protected] from the address on your account and tell us which data to delete. We respond within 30 days.
What is kept, and for how long
- Responses to a deleted project (poll votes, form answers, clicks, opens) are deleted automatically 13 months after they were recorded, or sooner if you delete your account. Send history and summary analytics for a deleted project are kept until you delete your account.
- Unsubscribes and bounces stay on your suppression list so we keep honoring them, until you delete your account.
- Your account and sign-in details are kept until you delete your account.
- Security and audit logs (who did what and when, not the content itself) are kept for 12 months, then deleted automatically.
- Crash reports (device model, OS version, app version, no name or email) are deleted automatically by our error-monitoring service within 90 days.
- Data held by the businesses that emailed you. Your details in a business's contact list, and your responses to their emails, belong to that business. Use the unsubscribe or "Correct or delete your data" link in their email, or ask them directly.
